Sold for $ 961,542 the Oscar Orson Welles

Oscar has just been sold at auction for $ 961,542 dollars ... in fact, this is the Oscar awarded to Orson Welles for Best Screenplay for the film "Citizen Kane".

The Oscars had disappeared many years ago and had been given by the director to a cameraman who had every intention to put it back at auction, but the daughter of Orson Welles, Beatrice, has complained and did everything to get back and recover the object. The cameraman has thus decided to put it on sale in 2003.

In 2007, Beatrice had all rights to the Oscar then auctioned off, but against all odds, the asking price was never reached, at least not until 2011 that he found a new owner for $ 961,542 dollars.
